How much notice do you need for an order?

For orders off our house menu, we require 48 hours notice Monday-Friday. Orders placed on Fridays may not be available for pickup and local delivery until Tuesdays. Custom orders require longer lead times, up to two weeks.

Do you have minimum quantities on orders?

For production reasons and to prevent waste, we require minimum quantities on certain items. Typically, we have a one to two dozen minimum on most items, but we have a selection of daily items that can be ordered in smaller quantities. As well, you can purchase our desserts in our Gaviidae retail store in Minneapolis.

When ordering online your order will default to the minimum quantity, but if you have certain quantity needs please feel free to contact us directly.

Where can I pickup my order?

We have free pickup during business hours at our Minneapolis and Shakopee locations Monday through Saturday.

I don't see what I'm looking for, do you take custom orders?

Yes! Although we may not be able to accommodate all custom orders, we will certainly try our best to meet your needs! Please fill out our inquiry form on our contact page and a dessert specialist will contact you.


Do you deliver?

Yes! We can deliver just about anywhere in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area. We offer a 3 hour delivery window of either 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Delivery price is based off of the delivery address. 

Extra fees apply for Saturday delivery, weddings & events, custom cakes or other large events.

Pickup at our Shakopee or Minneapolis locations is always free!

Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?

We do not require you to be home to receive your delivery but the scent of our delicious baked goods is attractive to both humans and animals and therefore we cannot be held liable for packages once they have been delivered.


Do you set up my desserts?

For orders of over 200 mini desserts, we offer a setup service starting at $50.00. The cost of the service will be based off of the quantity of desserts we have to setup and is in addition to the delivery cost.

Do you offer tastings?

We conduct private tastings Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on select Saturdays and evenings by request. 

Our tasting fee is $30.00 and is credited towards your final invoice on dessert orders of $300.00 or more.

Tastings are by appointment only and can be setup by filling out our inquiry form on our Contact page or calling our office.


Do you have a store where I can purchase desserts?

Yes! Please visit our retail store in Minneapolis at the Gaviidae Common (Skyway Level) 651 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55402.

What if I have a food allergy?

We offer a variety of gluten-sensitive and nut free items but we are not a dedicated gluten free or nut free kitchen.

Although we will take great care with your dessert, your dessert may have been prepared near ingredients containing these items.
